Easter worship at St Luke’s

We had four very different services in Holy Week. After the solemnity of the Good Friday Liturgy we observed at noon, the Stations of the Cross.

On Easter Day, over a hundred people gathered early at the Balmoral Rotunda for a family Communion Service. St Luke’s has held this service at the beach each Easter for over forty years. It began with the lighting and presentation of the new Paschal  (Easter) Candle, the announcement The Light of Christ! and the response, Thanks be to God!

After the service parishioners gathered for light refreshments and for a special event in the Parish Centre, the naming of the Seddon Hall in honour of our long-serving fourth Rector, the Reverend John Seddon. John was present with his family and had earlier participated in the Easter Service.
